The VEU scheme, (also known as Victorian Energy Efficiency Target, or VEET Scheme) is driving energy efficiency upgrades in Victoria by providing financial incentives to make implementation more affordable and attractive for households and business. It is administered by the Essential Services Commission (ESC).
The ESS is driving energy efficiency upgrades in NSW by providing financial incentives to make energy efficiency and renewable energy projects more affordable and attractive. It is administered by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).
The RET is split into a small-scale and large-scale scheme and drives investment into renewables including biomass, solar, geothermal, hydro, wind and ocean energy. The RET is administered by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER)
The ERF, also known as Direct Action is a federal scheme to directly purchase emissions reductions through an auction process. To date the bulk of ERF projects have been from land use and forestry. More recently commercial and industrial projects have benefited from the scheme.
